Led by the Spirit

Romans 8:14 NKJV

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”

As children of God, cleansed through the blood of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, we have each been given the Holy Spirit that rests and abides in us. Being led by the Spirit of God is a defining mark of our identity as His children. It signifies a life surrendered to God’s guidance, where we trust Him to direct our paths even when the way seems unclear. The Holy Spirit is our helper, comforter, and guide, offering wisdom, conviction, and encouragement to navigate life.

To be led by the Spirit, we must cultivate a heart that listens, a mind open to His Word, and a willingness to obey. It requires humility to set aside our own desires and faith to follow His lead.

Today, reflect on areas where you might be resisting God’s guidance. Ask the Holy Spirit to align your heart with God’s will, and trust that His direction will lead to growth, peace, and purpose. As His child, you’re never alone—He walks with you every step of the way.

Prayer: Father, we thank You for the precious blood of Christ that washed us clean and gave us the freedom to stand before You as Your righteous children. You have given us Your Holy Spirit to help us overcome the trials and tribulations of the world, giving us hope, peace, and joy that nothing can take away. As we remember Your goodness and mercy towards us Lord, we pray that You will show us areas where we may be resisting the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Give us the grace to align our hearts to Your will, the courage to walk the path You show us, and the assurance that your plans for us are good. May we be all that You intend us to be.
