Romans 8:28 – “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
This is for sure one of the most reassuring verses found in the Bible because it gives us a certainty that no matter what happens, it will be for our good. The only condition to be under this supernatural and large covering umbrella of God’s blessings is: to love Him.
In the book of Genesis, the story of Joseph is a tremendous testimony to this truth. In spite of everything he went through, all the injustice he suffered from his brothers – except Benjamin, he was the one who had reached such a position of power in Egypt that enabled him to extend blessings to all his brothers, their families, and save them from dying of hunger. He said to his brothers: “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” (Genesis 50:20)
It does not mean that we will never go through hardships, on the contrary, it means that even if we go through adversities, God will turn everything around to accomplish what He wills, for His purpose and His glory. We need to know that our sufferings will produce in us perseverance, character and hope. We will become spiritually fit.
It is awesome to know that God is on our side if we remain in Him. We ought to love Him with all that we are, with all our soul, mind and strength. He loves us so much and wants to extend his favor and blessings over us, we do not need to fear because all things in heaven and earth work together for our good, and nothing can separate us from His love!
