Psalm 118:5-6 (NKJV): I called on the Lord in distress; The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?
If you look back you will remember a few instances in your life where you thought “my family wants what’s best for me”, “they are my best friends and won’t let me down”, but due to the situation or capability of the person at that time, your dependency on them did not bring the results you hoped or anticipated.
Now, look back at your life again. At any point, can you recollect a time when God let you down? You may have had a not-so-perfect day or something didn’t go your way but later you would have realized that God had your best interest at heart. When you cried out to Him for anything, He did bring it to pass… in His timing.
When you wanted that job so bad, God didn’t allow that to happen because He wanted the best for you. He knew there was a better job with better pay and better prospects on its way, in a matter of time. If you had accepted the first job, you perhaps wouldn’t have been able to accept the next good opportunity or would have felt awkward coming out of that situation.
When you asked God for a soulmate as you were alone and all your friends were getting married, you didn’t fear and knew God had the best plan for you. While you prayed in the waiting and held on, God prepared the best life partner for you.
Whatever our situation, we never need to fear as He is always on our sides!
