New Mercies Every Morning

Lamentations 3:22-23 NKJV

Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

Some mornings, we wake up with a sense of joy, while some other days, we wake up feeling burdened. Life is unpredictable, and it can make our hearts feel weary. But no matter what yesterday held, today is a fresh start because of the everlasting and new mercies God, our Father, pours out on us.

The prophet Jeremiah wrote these words during a time of deep sorrow, yet we understand he clung to one unshakable truth: God’s love never runs out. God’s compassion for us never fails. His mercy is not limited by our failures, our fears, or our circumstances. Even though we are undeserving, every single morning, He offers us a new beginning.

Perhaps yesterday was filled with mistakes, and you probably feel distant from God. But today, His mercy is fresh, His grace is abundant, and His faithfulness is unfailing. So today, come to Him, just as you are, and receive His reckless love that never gives up on you.

Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for Your mercies are new every morning. Help me trust in Your faithfulness and walk in Your grace today and every day of my life. Amen.
