Isaiah 54:14 NIV
“In righteousness you will be established: tyranny will be far from you; you will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you.”
Imagine a little girl wakes up in the dead of night and cries out for her parents. The parents immediately rush into their daughter’s room, switch on the light, hold her tight, and assure her, “Don’t worry… there’s nothing to fear. We’re here.” If earthly parents can provide such comfort and assurance, imagine how much more our Heavenly Father will do for His children.
Today’s verse is a promise that extends to all God’s people. When we have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, we become part of His eternal covenant of peace. He has established us in righteousness through His sacrifice on the cross. He will keep us far from oppression, and nothing can terrorize us.
Is something causing you worry or anxiety? Perhaps a specific concern always causes your chest to tighten and makes you panic. Remind yourself that you have nothing to fear because your God is near. Don’t let fear steal your peace. Your Heavenly Father watches over you day and night. Rest in His embrace and allow His presence to soothe your fears.
Prayer: Father, thank You for always being there for me. I trust You with my cares and concerns. Help me rest in peace because You are in control. Amen.
Amen and Amen, Pastor whenever we feel down or oppressed by people or in forbidden situations, your messages are Rhema word to us. I thank my Lord personally for having given me a spiritual father like this 🙏
