Isaiah 42:16
“I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, And crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, And not forsake them.”
We’re living in uncertain times. When the pandemic seemed to be under control earlier this year, everything was going back to how it was pre-pandemic, albeit with masks and social distancing. But then the cases started rising exponentially again, and we’re in a worse place than last year. How do we continue living with hope at a time when we’re grieving so much loss in our lives?
We take it one step at a time. And no… we don’t have to do this on our own. Our Lord Jesus Christ is Immanuel, God with us. He goes before us. He leads us through the path that we’re not sure of. He is the light in our dark places. He walks with us and illuminates every step that we take forward.
God has promised that He will never leave you nor forsake you. Trust God to be your lifesaver as you navigate this storm. Take your worries to the Lord in prayer. Turn over your anxious thoughts to Him and accept the peace He’s promised in return. Take just one step of faith at a time, and you will get through this by the grace and strength of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Prayer:
Father, I can’t make sense of this pandemic and the uncertainty it’s brought into my life, but I know You are still in control. Help me rest knowing that You will help me move forward in faith one step at a time. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
