Psalm 18:30
“As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.“
Psalm 18 was written when God delivered David from his enemies and Saul. So, this was a song of gratitude. When we read through the psalm we will recognize David, he knows the reason for his rejoicing is not His ability, it is God. He gave glory to God for all the deliverance he was blessed with.
In Psalm 18:30 David confesses the truth about God through his experiences:
His way is perfect: the success story of David’s life is walking in God’s perfect way. The Bible says “His ways are higher than our ways” (Isaiah 55:8-9). Abiding in God’s way has always kept David and others no matter their situation. Therefore, we too should abide in His ways. Our God knows the end from the beginning, His guidance has always been reliable and fruitful.
The word of the Lord is proven: God’s word never fails. It is proven that it is not mythological but truth. It can be personal or corporate. Every word in His word is God’s breath and is needed for us to lead a blessed life. God’s word is “lamp unto my feet and light unto my path” (Psalm 119:105). May we always embrace His word and walk in victory.
He is a shield to all who trust in Him: Those who trust in Him will never be put to shame. We have seen through various instances in His word that always the ones who trust Him will be protected, and provided. We are surrounded by Him and not enemies (Psalm 28:7).
Therefore, Our God is able, His ways are perfect, His word is proven, and He is the protector of those who trust him. May David’s testimony be our testimony too.
Blessed Day Ahead.
