Our God Who Accomplishes Everything for Us

Isaiah 26:12 – LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us. (KJV)

“Lord, you establish peace for us.” (NIV) How awesome that God ordains, or orders, or establishes peace for us.

“All that we have accomplished you have done for us.” (NIV) “All we have accomplished is really from you”(NLT) ”because everything we have done was by your power.” (CEV) What can we do, really, without the intervention of God?  He enables us to do all things.

When the Israelites were wandering in the desert, God directed their every move. Gave them precise direction. Provided for them for forty years – in every aspect – he was with them and they did not lack anything. (Deuteronomy 2:7) When Joseph was sold as a slave, God was there; when Samson defeated the Philistines, God was there; when David killed Goliath, God was there; when Daniel was saved from the lions, God was there; when Jonah was swallowed by a fish, God was there; when Paul became blind, God was there.

Praise be to God for all the wonderful things he did and does for us.  He sent his only son, Jesus, to die for us; he provided a perfect lamb to be sacrificed on our behalf so that through his death we would have an abundant life, here and now, and in eternity.  Let us say with confidence:  Thank you God our Father, because all that we have accomplished, you have done for us!
