Psalm 145:9 – “The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.”
God is good all the time; and all the time, God is good! We say it with great gusto on our good days, but seldom do we feel it when we’re having a bad day. Is God’s goodness limited only to the days when the sun is out, the sky is blue and all is well with our world? Absolutely not.
The Psalmist understood this truth and believed it from his innermost being. The Lord is good to all – irrespective of their mood, the environment, the job situation, the family drama or personal trials. God was good when the Psalms were written, He is good to us now in our current situation, and He will continue to do good to us in the future as well. When things go wrong, as they often do, let’s not start questioning the goodness of God. He knows what He is doing.
Even if it doesn’t seem right or fair by our standards, God will work it all behind the scenes and paint a beautiful picture through our lives. If you’re going through a tough circumstance where it’s difficult to see the goodness of God, don’t give up. God is good and He does good. His tender mercies will carry you through this season and you will see His goodness in your life.
