“O Lord, You are our Father, we are the clay, and You our Potter; and all we are the work of Your hand.” Isaiah 64:8
It is important for us to recognize the sovereignty of our God, and our Father. He is the One who made us, we are His, the work of His hands. He is the One who knows us, the One who formed us, who created our inmost being, who knit us together in our mother’s womb, whom fearfully and wonderfully made us, whose eyes saw our unformed body. (Psalm 139).
How can we, His children, not accept and recognize His mercy and care over our lives, and everything that we do? We are the clay under His mighty hands. We trust His loving touch to press us and mold us according to His perfect will, until what He sees is pleasing and perfect to Him.
We depend on His loving care to gently put us in a safe place, away from all harm, and from anything that could crash us. We fully and entirely depend on His loving care to continue to transform us and reshape us. We are His. The work of His hands.
He is our Father and we are His children. He is the one who provides every good and perfect gift for us, and who ensures that we lack nothing.
We trust You Father God, we are so grateful that You have us in the palm of Your hands, hidden and provided for, and we trust You to mold us and make us according to Your will. Amen.
