CHOOSE PRAISE!

Psalm 118:28-29 – “You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, I will exalt You. Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” 

Have you ever been through a situation that was so troubling that urged you to praise the Lord, trust in Him, shift your focus from the circumstance and direct your thoughts to the Lord of lords?

Just as the psalmist did, we need to continuously praise the Lord and declare His goodness that never ends over our lives. We need to recognize that He is in control of everything, declare that we are His, that we believe in Him and rely on Him and declare His sovereignty over our lives! 

The first and the last verses of Psalm 118 declare the same thing: “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” (NIV). We should always be thankful to the Lord, regardless of what happens. We should be thankful from the beginning until the end and for all that happens in between!

God is good and His mercy endures forever and no one or nothing can change that! His nature is merciful and loving! His love is endless. And nothing can separate us from His love, from the love He feels for us!

The Lord is good! Praise His name! Exalt His name! Give Him thanks! For He is good, His mercy endures forever! Amen!
