Praises to a merciful God

Psalm 68:19—”Praise the Lord; praise God our savior!  For each day he carries us in his arms.”

Woke up late this morning with an aching body and unrested body. The tiredness of the previous day lingered due to the sweltering heat of the day that tried not to let go the walls of our house at night. The morning didn’t feel like starting afresh. In fact it felt like the continuation to a long troubled day. (Feeling: ungrateful, unthankful, complaining even)
Meanwhile in another part of the town, our help woke up to another day. Same temperature… devoid of even a fan. She pushed herself to come to work.
(Feeling: no option, continue with what life has dealt)
And then there is another part of town, where a person is in a serious health condition on their dying bed. The temperature, surroundings, emotions are of no consequence. It may or may not be an comfortable situation. They just hope for and want a chance to have some time to get right with God.
(Feeling: need time, want God).

Every day is a precious day. Every day that we wake up is a gift from God. It is one of the reasons why we as God’s children must have joy! It is only through God’s grace and mercy that we make it through a day. We should therefore remember to be grateful and thank God. We must praise God for every single new day. We have a blessing for each of us, God’s love covers our shortcomings. Jesus stands in our gaps to make us excel in what we do. He carries us through each day. All this for people who don’t deserve it. Yes, this is God’s mercy. Praise God our Savior, praise the Lord!
