Prayer Conquers All

Philippians 4:6-7—”Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

By midweek, people are normally at different levels: achievements/disappointments, effort, emotions – everybody has something on their mind. Given the amount of stress in today’s world, men maybe concerned about: their work, to travel and get back home, to attend to and provide for their family, to unwind etc. Meanwhile, women want to: complete their day’s work, get home and attend to their family, connect with and be informed about the lives of their family members, or spend time with friends.

What are we supposed to do as believers in Christ?
We work in faith, diligently. The Bible tells us to not to fret when in sin or folly. We needn’t be worried about anything because our God is bigger than our reason for worry. Fear or distrust only distracts our mind. If we go to Him…
How do we do this?
Apart from our scheduled prayers, we must pray in everything. Although He knows everything better than we do, we must talk to God in prayer instead of worrying. Tell God about our concerns. Praise and thank Him. Know and confess God’s mercies towards us. Doing this displays our dependence on God and how we value His mercies.
Thank God for what?
We thank God in our faith. He will take care of our concerns and see us through. Then, we only need to physically see what He has released.
How do we know that God has made it happen?
During this time, the peace of God (that no human mind can possibly understand) will wrap around our hearts and minds through Jesus. A sense of God’s wholeness will displace the worry and settle us down. Everything will come together for good.

So, did you pray today?
