Precious Peace

Romans 5:1 NIV

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

We are living in a world that is ruled by anarchy and injustice. It is challenging to be a part of this chaotic world and not be affected by it. Losing one’s mind is inevitable, and holding onto our sanity is becoming impossible. During such times, the above verse comes as a promise.

The Holy Bible, time and time again, talks about the peace of God. This superior kind of peace can neither be attained nor experienced through human efforts. It requires divine intervention.

When God created the world, He intended His creation to live in peace and harmony with one another. In fact, He gave each one of us His peace that would guard our hearts and minds. However, due to our wicked ways and sinful nature, we lost this peace. But our Lord, in His faithfulness, could not bear to see our destruction. He took it upon Himself to eradicate sin from the earth and bring justice to His creation. With this purpose in mind, He sent us Lord Jesus.

Jesus Christ is often known as the Prince of Peace because if you have Him in your life, you will have peace in abundance. The world around you may be falling apart, but you will stand firm as His tranquil peace will cover you.

Dear Lord, thank You for Your everlasting peace. In this world, where everything is uncertain, I can be certain that Your peace will protect my mind and heart from every attack of the enemy. I am okay to lose everything, but I never want to lose Your precious peace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
