2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
Paul’s charge to Timothy is a powerful reminder for us today: God’s Word is not bound by seasons, circumstances, or convenience. We are called to preach the Word — not just from the pulpit, but through our daily lives, conversations, and actions. Whether the time feels “right” or not, the world around us needs the truth, the hope, and the love found in Jesus Christ.
To preach the Word is to be ready at all times — to share encouragement with the weary, correction with compassion, and truth with humility. It is to carry the heart of God to a world that is often hurting, searching, and wandering. Paul emphasizes doing this with long-suffering — with patience, perseverance, and gentleness. Transformation often takes time, and God calls us to be faithful, not rushed.
Teaching and living out God’s Word require a dedicated approach. It means we must first be deeply rooted ourselves, continually seeking Him so we can speak from a place of truth and love. Every encounter, every conversation is an opportunity to plant seeds of faith.
Today, let’s ask ourselves: Am I ready and willing to share God’s Word whenever He calls me to? May we carry His truth boldly, patiently, and lovingly — pointing souls back to Him.
Prayer:
Lord, make me ready in every season. Fill me with Your Word and Your heart, so that I may speak truth and love with patience and power. Amen.
