Psalm 32:11 – Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous; and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!
When we live a righteous life, we live a life that God intended for us. It means we trust God and know Him as our Lord and Savior. If we know our God intimately, that’s the perfect reason to rejoice, knowing that He is always in control. We do not need to worry about the pains and sins of this world because we serve a God who is, above all sins and creation, and He has chosen us as His children.
Knowing God deeper makes us learn to trust Him completely. The troubles we are going through and the pain we are subjected to do not matter, as our God is in control. We can be glad that He will see us through all our trials and tribulations unscathed.
As righteous people, it does not mean that we will not or cannot sin. It means that if we sin, we can still turn to God, our Father, and confess our sins to Him. We can seek His forgiveness and ask Him for strength to not sin again. Our God is a merciful Father who loves us unconditionally. He forgives us no matter how many times we fail Him. All that He wants from us is a pure heart and unwavering faith in Him. No matter how far we wander from His chosen path, He will welcome us with open arms when we return to Him.
Let us shout for joy knowing that when our God is with us, all our sorrows are short-lived, and rejoicing is eternal when we live a righteous life.
