2 Corinthians 4:16
Therefore, we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
Some days, we feel worn out-physically, emotionally, or even spiritually. Life has a way of draining us. But Paul speaks about the tension we often feel. On the outside, we may be aging, hurting, or dealing with circumstances we didn’t ask for. But on the inside, whether we realise it or not, something beautiful is happening. God is doing a quiet, steady work in us, renewing us from within.
We may not always see it right away. Renewal doesn’t usually come with flashing lights or big advertisements. It shows up in the strength to face one more day, the peace that passes understanding, or the softening of our hearts when we forgive or hope again.
Today’s verse reminds us that even when our bodies are tired or broken, our spirits don’t have to be. Even as our outer selves grow weak, God renews our inner lives each day with strength, hope, and grace.
God is present every single day, breathing life into our inner world. He is shaping us into something eternal, even as the temporary things fade. So let’s not lose heart. We are not just surviving, but we’re being renewed. Day by day. Grace by grace. From the inside out.
