Psalm 105:1
“Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples!”
Pentecost Sunday marks the 50th day since Resurrection Sunday and it commemorates the time when the Holy Spirit descended on the followers of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 2:1-4). It was this indwelling of the Holy Spirit that fortified the apostles and helped them preach the forgiveness of sins through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
If you have encountered the Lord’s saving grace, it’s an honor and privilege to share the same with others who haven’t experienced it yet. So, how can you share the good news? Today’s verse offers 3 ways:
1. Give thanks
Thank God every chance you get. Attribute all the goodness you experience to Him and let others see the importance you give Him.
2. Call on Him
Reach out to the Lord for help whenever you need it and let people see how dependent you are on Him.
3. Testify about Him
When the Lord answers your prayers, give Him the glory. Proclaim aloud the good things God has done for you and shine the spotlight on Him.
John 14:26 says that the Holy Spirit will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance the words of Jesus Christ. You don’t have to worry about what to say or how to say it. When you rely on Him, the Holy Spirit will help you share the love of God through your words and actions.
Lord Jesus. Thank you for the gift of the holy spirit, thank you for the blessings, we praise and thank you for all the good things you have done, lord we pray for protection and we pray to protect us from all evil in Jesus name I pray Amen hallelujah 🙌 praise God.
