Have you heard the proverb – Actions speak louder than words?
Ten lepers called out to the Lord Jesus as He journeyed from one place to another. These lepers were driven out of society and forced to live on the city’s fringes. When they saw Jesus, they believed their time on the fringes was over. It was time for them to arise and build!
But the Lord Jesus did not pronounce healing on them. All He said was, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” – Luke 17:14
In those days, lepers were allowed back into society after a priest certified them as healed. But these lepers weren’t healed when Jesus told them to visit the priest.
Then why did Jesus tell them to go to the priest?
The lepers did not question Jesus. They just obeyed.
With every step of faith, their bodies began to heal themselves. And before they reached the priest’s residence, they were whole, with no sign of leprosy!
Do we believe that the same Jesus can heal us from our sicknesses and satisfy us with a long life? Do we have those steps of faith to back up our words of faith?
The Bible says, “…faith without works is dead” – James 2:20
The Bible also says, “…by works, faith was made perfect” – James 2:22
Words of faith are great! But works of faith are greater because they hold the key to Arising and Building!
