Revelation 1:8 – I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. (KJV)
An apparently simple paragraph, but with such rich and absolute affirmations about the magnitude of our God. Without analyzing the semantics and the meaning of every word spoken here, the depth and power and might of who our God is, in different ancient alphabets, including the Hebrew, Phoenician, Aramaic, Syriac, Arabic, Greek, Akkadian, all subgroups of the Afro-Asiatic family of alphabets.
Who but God the Creator can make such a statement? To affirm that He is the Alpha, and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the Ending. The One Who Is, Who Was, and Who Is To Come.
Who but God can state that he is the Almighty? The Creator of all things, seen and unseen, visible and invisible, known and not yet known. The One who holds time, who is in control of the perfect and unquestionable functioning of our Universe, the one who performed and is still performing wonderful and mighty miracles for our benefit. Who but God himself is able to assure us of his incredible, wonderful, powerful, mighty magnitude?
How can we express or fathom his greatness? How can we explain or praise with our limited knowledge and being who is our God? What he has done and is still doing for us, for you and for me. With a heart of extreme humility and the realization of who we really are, a mere speck of dust, but still worthy to be called children of our Mighty, Almighty, Omnipresent, Omniscient, Omnipotent God and Savior.
“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21 – AMP)
Yes, our God Almighty is creator of everthing on the earth and above heaven. He is wonderfull, marvelous and merciful God our Lord Jesus Christ. He is worthy to praise and worship. He alone can do all things possible. He is our comforter, redeemer and counsellor. Amen hallelujah.
