Joshua 21:45
Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.
God speaks every word with the certainty that He will fulfill it, even when people struggle to understand the timing or the process. The Israelites experienced a long and challenging journey from promise to fulfillment, yet God completed every promise. Why? Because He is God, not a man who alters his words. Therefore, we can surrender everything into His hands.
Complete surrender may not come easily, but we can practice it daily – one step at a time. Even simple reminders, like the words of a familiar hymn, can strengthen us and remind us that God will not fail us. He has not brought us this far only to leave us halfway. His ways are unfathomable and far beyond human comprehension, yet they are always perfect.
Today’s verse calls us to practice patience and perseverance. God unfolds many of His promises over time. So we need to remain faithful, especially in seasons when we can’t yet see our desired outcome.
Joshua 21:45 reminds us that delay does not mean denial. God fulfills everything in His perfect time. Psalm 145:19 declares that He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cry and saves them. God’s promise to us is clear: He hears, and He fulfills.
Today’s verse reassures us that we can fully trust God’s plan without any doubt. It calls us to live with confidence, knowing that God will surely bring to pass whatever He has promised. We can take God at His word because He is faithful!
