The goodness of God

Exodus 33:19: And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee, and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.

Moses wanted to have a glimpse of God, Almighty.  He was so in love with God that He wanted to see Him face to face.  They were the besties of all time.  Moses was an all time favorite of God’s.  They communed with each other as friends and shared everything that they had to share.

God told to Moses that He can only make the goodness of Him pass before Moses.  Moses was put in the cleft of a rock and God passed in front of him.  The goodness that passed before Moses was the mercy, graciousness, patience, and the abundance of God’s goodness and truth.  Wow! All these attributes of God were what Moses could see as God passed before him.  If these things comprise of God’s goodness, how blessed are we to worship this God!  We are so privileged to be called as His children.  In situations in life that we do not have an answer for or do not understand some things that happen in our life, all that we need to look upon and think upon is God’s goodness and His ability to keep us strong, unbroken, un-hit, and in one piece.  He will be gracious and merciful to whom He wants to be gracious and merciful with.

Think about the goodness of God in your life.  With God beside us and with us, we are a great team.  Let us live a life that will win God’s favour and mercy all the time.  Speak to God like He is your best friend and let Him know about everything of you.
