Jeremiah 32:19 NKJV

“You are great in counsel and mighty in work, for Your eyes are open to all the ways of men, to give everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings.”

Jeremiah, the prophet, conveyed God’s word to the kingdom of Judah for forty years, predicting the fall of Jerusalem and mentioning that the city would be handed over to the Babylonians. This city incited God’s anger and wrath; they did not listen or respond to His discipline.

Jeremiah 32:19 highlights God’s greatness. He has made the heavens and the earth by His great power. He is a great and mighty God. Great in counsel and mighty indeed. God will act according to a person’s commitment to Him (Psalm 37:5).

However, Jeremiah talks about the message of judgment for wrongdoing followed by the restorative power of forgiveness and new life. He declares the power and nature of God.

God’s anger is only for a brief moment, but with deep compassion, He will bring us back.  Do not be anxious about anything. Trust in the Lord and His plans for your life. Nothing is too difficult for Him. He is the God of restoration. He will restore what you have lost—your finances, relationship, health, and maybe even time.

Prayer: Lord, great are Your purposes, and mighty are Your deeds. Thank You for watching over my life and guiding my steps. Help me trust in Your plans, even when I don’t fully understand them. May my actions and choices reflect Your love and justice so that I may bring glory to Your name. Amen.
