The LORD fights for you

For the LORD your God is the One who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory. Deuteronomy 20:4 NIV

In Deuteronomy 20:4, GOD speaks to the Israelites as they prepare for battle. HE reminds them they are not alone; HE is with them and will fight for them. This powerful promise underscores a fundamental truth: our battles are not just ours to fight. GOD is with us, actively working on our behalf to secure victory.

Life can often feel like a series of battles. We face challenges, opposition, and difficulties that can seem insurmountable. Whether it’s a struggle at work, a relational conflict, or a personal hardship, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and alone. But this verse reminds us that we are never alone in our struggles. The same GOD who promised to fight for the Israelites is with us today, fighting for us and ensuring our victory.

GOD’s presence in our battles means we don’t have to rely solely on our strength, wisdom, or resources. HIS power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). When we face challenges, we can trust in HIS promise that HE will be with us, fight for us, and bring us through to victory. This assurance should give us courage and peace, no matter what we face.

LORD, thank You for the assurance that You are with us in every battle we face. Help us to trust in Your presence and rely on Your strength. Give us the courage to face our challenges, knowing that You fight for us and will lead us to victory. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
