Why will the Lord bless us?

Psalm 115:12 – The Lord has been mindful of us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel, He will bless the house of Aaron.

Do you know why the Lord will bless us? Because “He is faithful to all His promises and loving toward all He has made.” (Psalm 145:13).

“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ.” (2 Corinthians 1:20). God loves us with an unexplainable love. He is mindful of us because He knows us, He sees us, His eyes daily search the earth looking for His children, and He will do what He said He will do, because “He is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind.” (Numbers 23:19).

The Lord has promised to bless us, the house of Israel, “with whom He has made His new covenant through Christ”, and the house of Aaron, “His priests, ministers, all that offer up spiritual sacrifices to Him”. (Gill).

The Lord’s promises to bless us are everlasting, so much that He also promises that His goodness, mercy and love will follow us all the days of our lives! (Psalm 23:6).

And what do we do in response to a God who is so mindful of us? We praise and worship Him, we love Him, obey Him, stay near Him, follow Him and always thank Him with a heart full of gratitude!
