Acts 3:6: Then Peter said, silver and gold have I none, but such as I have give I thee. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

Peter and John were walking towards the temple at Jerusalem. They had an encounter with a lame beggar.  He looked at them hoping that he would get some money from them.  What he got was a wholesome healing from Jesus through these two disciples.

Peter gave the beggar what he had. He didn’t have money or gold or silver with him.  He knew that money cannot give the lame beggar his legs back.  What he needed was a healing.  All that Peter and John had with them was the name of Jesus.  At the mention of the name of Jesus, every sickness and demons flee.  This is what happened when Peter and John exercised their authority in the name that was high above all names.  They demonstrated their faith in the name of Jesus, the name at which every powers in heaven and earth bow down to.  Hallelujah!  The name of Jesus is a powerful weapon against the wiles of the enemy.  Use the God-given authority over every sickness and demonic oppression in your life.  This lame beggar instantly received healing on his ankles and he started jumping and leaping and praising God.  His joy knew no bounds.

Rise up above your incapacitating condition. Rise up above things that you feel are not going to work.  Rise up against fear and every troubles that make you a handicap.  At the mention of the name of Jesus, your problems will bow down and you will be set free to soar up high and above them.  There is power in the name of Jesus.
