Isaiah 35:10
“And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, And sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”
A few verses earlier than this particular verse, Isaiah speaks about the judgement of God and the reality of hell. While that is the absolute truth, praise the Lord for His provision of redemption and restoration for His people-the Ransomed Ones. Their hearts and lips will be ordained with songs of celebration and gladness. They will be crowned with unfading halos of joy!
What a privilege to be counted among the Ransomed of the Lord-the ones who have been rescued by the Redeemer Himself. A Kingsman Redeemer (mentioned in the Book of Ruth) is one who has to pay a specific ransom or amount to set someone free and to regain ownership of them. In the story of Ruth, we see that there are two men who qualify to redeem her. But only one was willing to pay the price and accept her just the way she was, considering her past.
Beloved, your Redeemer has considered you worthy fully knowing your past and has willingly paid the price for your salvation. There was a heavy price that Jesus Christ had to pay to set us free. Jesus Christ, who is God had to literally BECOME MAN, because it was mandatory that the redeemer be blood related. This is why He left His throne and stepped down on Earth. It was this reckless love of His that drove Him to the Cross of Calvary. It was His matchless compassion for YOU! He has loved you from the beginning with an everlasting love that has no end nor limit!
