Jeremiah 32:17 – “Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.”
Cartoons, movies and comic books that feature superheroes are always a big hit with kids, and even adults. While these characters are fictional and their abilities are impossible to mimic in real life, they possess a certain charm that appeals to the wider audience. People like the idea of someone swooping in to save us from trouble, always ready to rectify disastrous situations.
While superheroes on the silver screen may just be a figment of someone’s imagination, the Bible is filled with the truth of the greatest Hero of all. As Jeremiah puts is so eloquently, our Lord God, the Maker of heaven and earth, has unimaginable power and might. He just said a few words and the whole world came into existence!
Nothing is impossible for our God. Nothing is too difficult for Him to handle. Our only responsibility is to make sure we remain in an intimate relationship with Him. When we do, He becomes our overseer, protector, provider and friend. The Holy Spirit is always available for us night and day. He is Immanuel, God with us. The next time you are faced with an impossible situation, look up to God. He will reach down and help you make the right decisions, navigate tough trials and strengthen your faith along the way.
