This will turn out for your deliverance

Philippians 1:19 – “…for I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance…”

Paul went through a lot of hardship when preaching the Gospel. He was tortured, bound with chains and put in prison, and yet he remained strong in his faith. Paul holds on to the assurance that through the prayers of his fellow believers, and the help of the Holy Spirit, his suffering will turn out for his deliverance.

Paul was not the first person to believe as such in the Bible. Joseph made a similar proclamation in Genesis 50:20. “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good…” Although Joseph’s brothers had sold him into slavery and considered him dead, God turned the situation around for good.

If you are going through a desperate situation in your own life, do not lose hope. The same God who delivered Joseph and Paul will deliver you out of your trouble too. All you need to do is pray, and surround yourself with others who can lift you up in their prayers. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you, and see the hand of God transform your desperation into deliverance.
