Trusting God Beyond the Noise

Psalm 145:5

I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works.

Thinking about God’s greatness is more than just remembering what He has done. It means stopping to see who He really is. It is like looking at mountains during a sunrise. At first, you only see the shape. But if you wait, you see more of the colours change, the light shines through, and hidden parts appear. The beauty was always there, but you needed time and stillness to see it.

David shows us that real praise starts in the heart. Before we talk or sing about God, we need to stop and think about Him. He wants us to give Him our full attention. When we think about His glory, wisdom, power, and mercy, and remember what He has done for us, we start to see things we often miss – His wonderful works.

The truth is, we live in a world that rewards speed and noise, but God often reveals Himself in stillness. Just like watching a sunrise changes how you see the day ahead, meditating on God’s splendor shifts your perspective. Problems don’t disappear, but they lose their power to overwhelm you when they are seen against the backdrop of God’s greatness. The more you focus on His majesty, the more your heart finds peace, because you remember who holds your life in His hands.

Prayer: Lord, help me slow down so I can see Your greatness and find my peace in You.
