Galatians 5:1
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
‘Bondage’ is a state of being a slave to something or someone in your life. It is a state which later becomes a lifestyle and then slowly a stronghold. This subtle connection that is made can be born from a habit, a ritual or just a mere tradition that is followed by many Christians and non – Christians alike.
The freedom of the Lord can be experienced if we do not allow these habits; traditions and ways of our own thinking create a way for Satan to walk into our lives. He will then create the yoke of bondage which later after it is full grown and developed becomes a burden. The sons and daughters of the Lord need to be sensitive to the ways of the devil rather than living in this idea of a honky –dory religious and traditional Christian who has surrounded and kept himself safe from the wiles of the world and stopped becoming a warrior for the kingdom.
Today, we need more warriors to fight the spirit world. However, we have become into Christians who protect ourselves more than moving out and moving on. It is a call to all of us because at times we become so involved and detached that we get entangled in things and people who later become the yoke of bondage.
