Wings of Experience

Psalm 89:1 I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations.

As 2023 slides into history, what are the memories that linger? Did the victories propel you toward your goals? Or did the failures offer valuable lessons to catapult you toward success in 2024?

When God is with us there are no futile experiences. Everything we go through is supervised by Him to ensure that it leads us to greatness. He won’t let us face more than we can handle. However, when He blesses us it will surely be more than we can handle!

That’s the nature of our God. He loves to bless us.

Even when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, He won’t leave our side. When the journey gets too tough for us, He will carry us through.

Sometimes we ask why God can’t just carry us out of bad situations instead of carrying us through them.

A mother eagle nudges her young ones to leave the nest. Though this may seem a bit harsh, it is a necessary step in the growth of the eaglet. Without this push, the eaglet will never learn to fly, explore the world, and unleash its potential.  

Similarly, God leads us through tough times to toughen us without hurting us, so we can soar on wings like eagles and remain unscathed by the storms of life. But for this to happen, we must go through the rigours of learning to fly.

For those of us who had a great 2023, we believe that the Lord will continue to bless you. For the rest of us who faced a demanding year, get set to soar high because your boot camp has qualified you to fly like an eagle.

Irrespective of the journey that was 2023, we believe and declare that 2024 is going to be a spectacular year! A year when we will Arise and Build.
