Deuteronomy 20:4: For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.
God is our protector. He is the one who fights all our battles. He saves us from every harm by watching over us. When God goes with us, the red seas will part and Jericho walls will come crashing down. No deadly disease will ever come near our dwelling. No enemies will ever be able to stand against us because greater is He that is in us that he that is in the world.
When we are perplexed and overwhelmed by fear looking at some huge mountain like challenges, God says to us not to fear. The more we are scared of the enemy, the more we invite fear. On the other hand, the more we are confident in godly security, the more victorious we will become. God will go with us if we ask Him to. He will tread upon our enemies. God will be like a shield around us. Every arrows that comes flying against us will be shielded. God will allow us to fight some battles while He strengthens us. There are other times when He actually fights for us. He takes the lead like a man of war. He is indeed referred to as a man of war in the Bible. Battles can come in any form and/or shape. They can target us personally or they can target our children or our family. God does not have to prepare a strategy to attack the enemy because he is already defeated.
With God on our side, we will surely win all our battles. We have to do nothing but ask God to be with us and strengthen us. Victory and success is assured with God on our side.
