The blood of Jesus

Ephesians 2:13:  But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

The Bible says that all have sinned and have come short of the glory of God.  God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, Jesus.  We all had sinned and had gone far away from God, but Jesus by His mercy and forgiveness bought us all with His blood and has now made us righteous in Him.

There was a time when nobody could approach this holy God.  They feared that they would die if they saw God.  Except by the blood of the animal sacrifice, there was no redemption or forgiveness of sins, but praise be to God for Jesus who came down and offered himself as an atonement for our sins.  Now, we can go so boldly in prayer to God and call him “Abba, Father.”  Jesus bridged the wide gap between us and the heavenly Father.  He shed His precious blood for us on the cross just so that we could have the direct access to Him.  Now that the gap is bridged, we can keep visiting God whenever we want, in prayer.  We would have been considered unholy if Jesus had not shed His precious blood for us. Even if there was just one person on the earth, Jesus would still die for that person and bring him/her close to Him.

Therefore, let us respect Jesus and the sacrifice that He has made for us so that we can go near to Him with a confidence that He is our Father. Thank you God, for your perfect sacrifice.
