Through David’s life we learn that no matter what our situations look like, God never fails! David was no different; he had weaknesses, enemies plotted against him, but David understood the importance of spiritual intimacy, and he always turned to God. The Bible talks about so many different things, yet love seems to be the most recurring theme. Our God always comes through in love.
In Psalm 18:19, David calls the Lord for his deliverance and, God answers him. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and, forever. His love is permanent and, He will lovingly embrace us in every season of our life. God longs for us to stay close and acknowledge His presence. Love is an action, not just feelings and emotions. God reveals His love through- forgiveness, discipline, grace, protection, provision and, so much more.
As we understand God’s heart for us, we will experience His love in everything we do, and all that we go through. So the next time we are down and out, let us remind ourselves to stay close to God and His word. For, every word of God is tested and refined; He is a shield to those who trust and take refuge in Him Proverbs 30:5.
