Psalm 117:1-2 – “Praise the Lord… Laud Him, all you peoples! For His merciful kindness is great toward us, And the truth of the Lord endures forever! Praise the Lord!”

“Praise the Lord, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. For great is his love toward us, And the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord.” (Psalm 117)

One interesting fact is that Psalm 117 is the shortest Psalm and also the shortest chapter in the Bible.  Though it was written before Jesus was born, it invites all peoples of all nations to praise Him, not only the Jewish nation, but also the Gentiles. Which means that the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus was already being prophesized about.

For His merciful kindness is great toward us, yes it is! And the truth of the Lord endures forever, yes it does!  For He is “The Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them – the Lord, who remains faithful forever.” (Psalm 146:6).

Praise our God who “is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8).  His sovereignty transcends time, notice that our God ‘is’ the same yesterday, He ‘is’ the same today, and He ‘is’ the same tomorrow.  He deserves all our praise, His gospel is eternal to proclaim to those who live on the earth – to every nation, tribe, language and people.” (Revelation 14:6).

Praise the Lord! All you nations! All peoples of the earth! For His merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord endures forever! Praise the Lord!

I like to read the devotion after I wakeup every morning and I feel very much happy and my faith is grown higher and higher every day. Also Sharing all the verses with my colleagues to motivate them through God’s word that they will keep their faith and hope in GOD. Specially during this pandemic, we are going through so many difficulties but still our almighty God is giving us the strength to fight with the situation. The verses are really helpful and give energy to handle every situation.

Thank you Bethel AG church Pastor and all the team members those who are working harder and harder every day for GOD’s Kingdom. Through this many people are being blessed and the word of GOD is working in their hearts.
