I John 4:19: We love him, because he first loved us.
God so loved the world that He gave His Son, the Lord Jesus to the world. He offered Himself as a sacrifice for the cleansing of our sins and to give us the gift of eternal life. God created us in His own image. He was pleased with whatever He created, but He loved us humans. That is a good enough reason for us to love Him. He loved us while we were yet sinners. No words can describe the length and breadth and height of God’s love for us.
We were created so that He could have fellowship with us. He loves to hear us praise Him, though He has multitude of angelic beings singing their praises to Him nonstop. When God created the first man and woman, He visited them everyday in the cool of the day and spent time with them, enjoying their fellowship until they sinned. Even today, God loves to fellowship with His children. His love for mankind is unconditional irrespective of where we are born or who we are. He does not care a bit about our status in society. He loves everyone. Can we find such a love in anyone, a love that treats everyone the same? How can we not love this Great Savior, who gave His life as a ransom for many just so that we can make it to heaven?
Do not waste your time running here and there for love. True love is only found in the Lord Jesus Christ. He does not demand anything from you, except your heart so that He can reside there and love and guide you.
