Do not be Afraid

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 

The beginning of a new year, also brings in new projects at work, new resolutions for ourselves, new relationships in the family,  new challenges that are coming our way. With all that is ahead of us, be it certain or uncertain, we dread the thought of failing. 

We sometimes fear failure and refrain from taking up new challenges. Questions like, What if I am unable to do?, what if I fail miserably and become a joke, what if I let down my family and their trust in me? haunts us all the time. 

In times of such doubts and failure-stricken mindsets, we have to retrain our brain and force ourselves to think in the lines of Deuteronomy 31:6, wherein GOD commands us to be STRONG and COURAGEOUS. HE is telling us to not be afraid, because of our challenges, and uncertainties that are ahead of us, because GOD himself is going with us, and HE will never leave us nor let us fail. 

Let us make this verse, the memory verse of 2021 because we will need it a lot. As 2021 is unfolding, it will bring its own challenges, at work, at home, emotionally, spiritually. Which will deliberate us in doubting our potential and capability. Not anymore, let us fearlessly face our fears and unleash our potential. Because we are commanded by a GREAT GOD to be fearless and let us be assured that wherever we are, we are not alone, a strong and mighty GOD is always on our side.
