Isaiah 54:17
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord.
In this world, one thing is common to all – problems. We may not be able to change our situation, but we can surely alter our perspective.
How often do we trust God, not just to protect us, but to prosper us in settings where problems abound?
From lonely pastures to the king’s palace, David’s journey was fraught with uncertainties. It wasn’t just his social or financial situation that looked bleak, his very life was in danger. Moreover, the person who wanted him dead was the reigning king of Israel. And that’s not all! David was the king’s assigned musician, which required his presence in the palace every day.
What would we do in a situation as such? Would we stay put and trust God to bless us?
That’s what David did! Even when arrows whizzed past his ears, David trusted God to complete the good work He had begun in him. And God blessed David abundantly! He raised David from a shepherd boy who was neglected by his own family, to the most respected king of Israel.
Has God planted you in a place where the sun hardly shines? Stay grounded and trust Him, because when we focus on the Son, the dreary clouds that cast a gloomy shadow over us will give way to plentiful showers of blessing.
Lord Jesus, every decision I need to make and every challenge I face. Please forgive me for times that I try to figure this life of my own. I need you, I need your holy spirit to give me strength wisdom and direction in name I pray Amen 🙏
This is so accurate in my situation. If i would have been in David’s situation where the reigning king of Israel wants me dead by throwing spear on me while I am playing the harp…where I HAVE TO make my presence before him. I would have left the job no matter what or tried for some other opportunities for my living and thats exactly what I am doing but todays daily devotion has changed my perspective.
Thanks a ton Jesus!
I am blessed!
