Supernatural Antidote

Psalms 23:5

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Are you being persecuted by people who are against you? Do not be discouraged. The Lord will bless you abundantly in the presence of your enemies!

But here’s what we need to do to bring God’s promise to fruition…

David was a shepherd boy for most of his early years. During this time, he observed that sheep (with cuts or abrasions) were often infected by blowfly larvae. Without treatment there was little hope for the sheep to survive.

What was the treatment? Application of a plant-based oil on the wound. The oil produces natural irritants that drive out the larvae.

Often, we hurt ourselves with wounds of anger, unforgiveness, deceit and hatred, among others. These wounds create a gateway for satan to infect us with other negative emotions and attitudes. But the Good Shepherd has blessed us with a supernatural antidote – the Holy Spirit!

Today, let’s invite the Holy Spirit into our lives, to heal our wounds and restore us both spiritually and emotionally! In doing so, we can destroy every stronghold of satan and make way for God’s blessed miracles.
