Psalm 145:19
“He will fulfil the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.”
The desires of our hearts say a lot about who we are and what’s important to us. Psalm 145 was written by King David and it’s a song of praise that came from the depths of His heart. The Bible tells us how David desired the Lord – he longed for an intimate relationship with Him despite his circumstances, and the Lord blessed him abundantly. Not only did God call David a man after His own heart, He also blessed him with earthly blessings.
When we seek the Lord above all else, He will ensure we have everything else we need – much more than what we can ask or even imagine. What is the deepest desire of your heart right now? Perhaps you’re waiting on God for an answered prayer, a miracle, or a deliverance. When you seek the Lord, you will not be put to shame. He hears your cry; He will save you.
Call on the Lord and He will answer you. It may not always be the answer you want, but it will be the one you need. God has greater plans for you than you could have ever thought of for yourself. He knows what’s best for you. He will lift you up and you will praise Him just like King David did all those years ago.
