Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
When we go through situations in our life, we tend to have our understanding as to how and why we got to experience them. it can either be a good or bad situation and can either encourage or discourage us. They can leave us hopeless sometimes.
Situations may require us to act upon, and based on our understanding we will figure out our choice of action. Hopeless situations can stary us away from God. We may lose faith and sulk in self-pity.
However, today’s scripture encourages us to trust God in all situations and not just incline our understanding of the situation. Our vision and wisdom both are limited. We live in the moment, however, we entrust our lives to the all-knowing God. His vision is everlasting and He is the source of wisdom.
So let us trust Him and commit all our plans into His hands, He is faithful to direct our paths so that we are no longer hopeless but as He promised Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
The highest expression of wisdom is trusting in God rather than in one’s own knowledge. Our trust must be wholeheartedly in God and not limited to what we can understand. Obedience always follows trust in God. Those who trust in the Lord and follow Him can be sure of God’s guidance and direction. We must, with an entire submission and satisfaction, depend upon him to perform all things for us, and not lean to our own understanding.
Blessed Day Ahead.
