When Life is Loud, Notice His Love

Psalm 107:43

Whoever is wise will observe these things, and they will understand the lovingkindness of the Lord.

Psalm 107:43 points us toward wisdom and understanding. The psalmist reflects on people facing distress, crying out to God, and experiencing His deliverance. The verse reminds us that wisdom is not just about acquiring knowledge; it is about learning to notice what God is doing.

Today, everything around us demands our attention. Notifications, deadlines, social media, work, and responsibilities keep us moving from one task to the next. In all this noise and chaos, it is easy to miss God’s work in our lives. Waking up today with a roof over our heads and having a bed to sleep in may seem ordinary. Even so, many around the world are praying for these blessings.

When we pray for something, we often focus on what we want and forget what God has already done. An unanswered prayer, a closed door, a difficult season, or something that has not worked out yet, should not make us overlook the ways God has carried us thus far.

Moreover, God’s lovingkindness does not always show up in extraordinary moments. Sometimes, it is in the strength to endure a difficult day, the right person showing up at the right time, a door opening unexpectedly, or even a door closing when we did not understand why.

The world urges us to chase the next thing. In contrast, this verse invites us to pause and observe.

Look back at your life today. Notice how far you have come, the people God placed in your life, the opportunities you received, the protection you experienced, and the second chances you were given. Perhaps God’s goodness has surrounded you more often than you realized.

Sometimes wisdom is simply slowing down long enough to recognize that God has been faithful all along.
