Colossians 2:6-7 – As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.
An uprooted plant cannot survive for too long unless it is planted in good soil again in order for its roots to find the nutrients they need to continue to grow, especially water, otherwise it dies.
Likewise, we need to be rooted in Christ, “rooted and established in love.” (Ephesians 3:17). Christ is our root and we need to remain in Him for all the nourishment that we need in order to grow, to branch up, and to bear fruit, through faith. We absolutely need to live in Him, otherwise we die spiritually.
When we are rooted in Christ, we become stronger in the faith, and we abound in it with thanksgiving. We are thankful for Christ who called us and loved us first; for what He did on the cross for us; for His love, mercy, kindness, compassion; for His patience towards us as well and for the beautiful promise that He will “never leave nor forsake us” (Hebrews 13:5).
Let us intentionally, gladly and joyfully remain in Him, grow in Him, “established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel” (Colossians 1:23), for we know that He has a love for us that never ends, and that nothing can ever “separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:39). Amen!
Praise the lord for he is good bless us with good health always
