“For this God is our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death”. Psalm 48:14 (NIV)
We are reminded of God’s constant presence in our lives in Psalm 48:14. He is our eternal guide – in this life and the eternal life. God leads us on the journey of life from the time of our birth till the conclusion of our days.
There are many turns, ambiguities, and difficulties in life. We can have happy and triumphant moments and sad and depressing ones. But God doesn’t waver in the face of it all. He is our dependable friend and our ever-present source of support when needed.
The Lord is aware of the way ahead. He sees the threats that could throw us off course and the obstacles on our path. However, He guides us through the valleys and over the mountains safely and gracefully.
Our God is steadfast in his guidance, even in the face of death. The Lord comforts us, even in our last moments, as we pass from this life to eternity. For those who trust God, death is not the end but only a transition into His eternal presence.
The knowledge that God is our eternal guide should give us comfort. He does so with kindness and love, never letting us face life’s challenges alone. May we have faith in His direction and go where He leads, knowing He will always be at our side–all the way- till we reach eternal life
Dear Heavenly Father,
We are grateful that you have led us on this journey through life. You guide us with grace and wisdom, knowing the way ahead. Please help us to trust your wisdom, particularly when we are afraid or uncertain. May the knowledge that You will be with us, escorting us safely into Your eternal presence, comfort us as we eventually approach eternity.
