Psalm 96:2 Sing to the Lord, bless His name; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
Do you have a friend or family member that is a foodie? Can you recall a time when your foodie friend tried out a new restaurant or cafe and they would not stop talking about it. You might have given it a go just out of curiosity. However, the food turned out to be delicious and you became a regular customer. People often receive and give recommendations they consider valuable.
The verse above exhorts us to worship, sing to the Lord because He is good and bless His name! because He is excellent. True moments in worship reveal to us that the most valuable thing we can ever find is Jesus, and the Good news of the Gospel. In these moments you once again taste the Lord, like Honey in Proverbs 16:24 and oh it is good! Now don’t keep this sweet goodness to yourself. Give the best recommendation that you can to someone else and proclaim the Good news of His salvation.
There are many ways to share the good news of Jesus. The first step is to identify the people around you that need Jesus and His salvation. Now consistently pray for these precious people as Christ died for each one. Pray for opportunities and divine moments. Build relationships within Godly boundaries. Be prepared with encouraging words. Offer to pray for them if they look distressed. Invite them to a church service. Take advantage of special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, new beginnings and offer a prayer of blessing. 2 Timothy 4: 2 says, Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season.
You are not alone when you do this. The holy spirit is your ever-present help. John 14: 26 says, But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. So be joyful and let your light shine.
