Hebrews 12:28 NKJV

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

This verse highlights an essential theme in our walk with God—serving Him with grace, reverence, and godly fear. As followers of Christ, we have the incredible privilege of being part of His eternal kingdom. This is not something we earn but a gift we receive through grace. And it is this grace that empowers us to serve God in a way that honors Him.

To serve God acceptably means aligning our lives with His will, not out of duty, but with humility and respect. The phrase “godly fear” isn’t about being afraid of God but rather having a deep sense of awe for His holiness and majesty. It’s about recognizing that the God we serve is the Creator of the universe. He deserves our utmost respect and devotion.

Grace, then, becomes our enabler. It is by God’s grace that we can approach Him, live for Him, and serve Him in a manner that pleases Him. Our calling is to live in a way that reflects our gratitude for His grace, serving Him with a heart full of reverence and awe.

Allow God’s grace to fill your heart, empowering you to serve Him in a way that reflects His holiness and the awe-inspiring gift of His kingdom. Worship Him, not just in words but even in your actions, and give Him the honor He deserves.
