Does loving someone mean ignoring the red flags? In this message from the Abounding in Love series, Rev. Johnson V teaches from Philippians chapter 1 that God wants our love to abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, because love without wisdom can become destructive. Learn why godly love is not blind, how to speak the truth in love, and how healthy boundaries protect friendships, marriages and purity.

This Sunday sermon explores growing in love with wisdom, discernment and biblical boundaries. Rev. Johnson V explains the Greek word epignosis, experiential discernment, from Philippians chapter 1, and walks through the qualities of love in 1 Corinthians 13: love is patient, kind, not envious, not proud, not easily angered, and rejoices in the truth. From Ephesians chapter 4 verse 15, he shows why truth must be spoken with grace. The message also covers forgiveness and emotional healing, why anger is not a valid expression of love, choosing and protecting your marriage, and living in purity according to 1 Thessalonians chapter 4. Part of the Abounding in Love series at Bethel AG Church, Hebbal.

02 Let's do the confessions together. I believe in the Almighty God, our father and creator. I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, God and my savior. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He suffered, died, and rose again. He ascended into heaven. He shall soon come again. I believe in God the Holy Spirit whose worship and my guide. I believe in holy fellowship, faithful giving and service to God in this church. I believe the Holy Bible is the perfect word of God. I am what it says I have. I have what it says I have and I can do what it says I can do. Today, as I learn the word of God here in my spiritual family, I am blessed, healed, and anointed for a holy and victorious living. I will never again be the same in Jesus' name. Amen. Lord bless us. Please be seated. We've been studying this month from God's word on love.

06 And last Sunday we looked at the agape love of God. The unchanging unconditional love of God. We looked at the greatest commandment that thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy mind, with all thy soul, with all thy strength, and that you should love your neighbor as >> yourself. And this morning, I want to learn with you about how love requires wisdom. Let's say that again. Loved, >> it requires wisdom. Love requires wisdom because love can sometimes be foolish and foolishness is destructive. God's love is filled with wisdom. >> Amen. >> If you love me, you will give me money. If you love me, you will do this for me. If you love me, please. How many times people have been manipulated in the name of love? Well, we mustn't forget that the love God wants us to have is the love with wisdom.

08 >> Amen. >> Because love without wisdom is destructive. Love is a deliberate choice, not like a feeling. A feeling is not a choice. A feeling is a chance. It just comes. You kind [snorts] of like some people, you like some things. I mean there's no switch on switch off kind of a control. You know what you like is what you like and the same thing after some time you may not like. Today you like so and so who is a great celebrity after a few months you may not like him. It's not that they have changed. It's that your inner disposition has changed. Likings can change but love is a commitment and love doesn't change. Why? Because you've committed and therefore [clears throat] love needs knowledge. Most people they don't fail from lack of love. They fail from lack of knowledge and discernment. They didn't handle love properly. Oh, that marriage failed because they didn't love. No, that marriage didn't fail because they didn't love. that marriage failed because they didn't know how to

11 handle their love. Deep inside, they still love each other. But there's so much gone wrong because they didn't know how to handle it. Why? Because without clear boundaries, even well-meaning love can cause harm. It can lead to unwanted, uned entanglements. It can go into unchecked wrongdoings. And sometimes if love is without boundaries, it can cause toxic dependence. It can cause toxic dependence. You sometimes make yourself depend on others simply because they love you so much or you make others depend on you because you love them so much. You've made them a prisoner of love and today they are not having they do not have the courage to fly because you kept them under your control. You kept them in love and didn't release them to grow. Love without knowledge is

15 dangerous. It can happen in homes with children. It can happen with parents. It can happen with friendships. It can happen in your office. Love is so important and therefore the Bible describes the importance of handling love. And let's look at Philippians 1 9-11. This is my prayer that your love may abound more and more in >> and depth of insight. Verse 10. So that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless. Because if you're not careful, love will make you impure and full of blame. If you're not careful, love will destroy your discernment. If you're not careful, love is like a flood. We all need water. Life cannot sustain without water. We need water. Water is there. We need water to live without, you know, in places where there are no rivers. There

19 are no civilizations. Deserts have no civilizations. Why? Because you need water to survive. But the same water when [clears throat] it goes beyond a certain control. When the same water can't be handled, it's called flood and it destroys the whole place. Love is like that. When it's got boundaries and it's handled well, it's a life force. >> But if love is not handled right, it is death force. And some of you are sitting between the two. Love must increase so that you can approve what is right and wrong through knowledge. Love must grow through wisdom. Love has no limits. But it must mature through deep experience. The word used there in the Bible in what we just read Philippians chapter 1 is the word epignosis. The word for knowledge there is a much deeper word than the one in English. It's talking about experiential discernment. something that you go through which is tested than just what you feel good. You

23 take a expensive nice uh golden uh ornament a necklace to the gold shop and say this is such a beautiful piece and it's glittering and then you say tell me how much price you will give. They don't look at it and feel how expensive it is. No, they take it to the lab and then check for its purity. They test it for its value and then they come back and tell you sometimes it surprises you. Oh, really? Yeah. Why? Because that's what it really is. A lot of smile and a lot of glitter and a lot of hugging a lot of times needs to be tested. I would say needs to be always tested because because Bible is saying let's read that scripture again Philippians and chapter 1 verse 9 this is my prayer that your love may abound more and more in what >> not in feelings

27 not in kisses not in hugging not in spending more time together but let it increase more in knowledge Not knowledge about each other but knowledge of what love itself is and what these expressions from others are. The other day I had somebody uh just you know saying sir it is so nice to see you sir uh your voice is nice he's telling me your voice is nice and I said okay thank you but uh then he said sir uh he made many compliments then I think somebody told him and he said um I was there for about half an hour he said uh sir I heard uh about your video on the YouTube, you're such an inspiration all that. Then I told him, see, frankly, I tell you, I came here because I like it, but I'm not going to buy it. I'm window shopping. You should have seen his discouragement

33 because suddenly he loved me because he thought I'm a potential customer. But I was not a customer. I was trying to while away time. I had to kill time because I was there for some other reason. I had to hang out for some time. I thought might as well look at these things. And I was looking at some things they thought they I look smart maybe. Yeah. They thought here is a smart customer. He's going to pick it up. And the way he loved me, you know, every company will have a sales team. They are the most loving people. They open the door, they close it for you, they shine your shoe, they make you feel warm, they always smile. You can ask whatever. coffee tea, warm tea, lesser tea. They give you darling tea, anything you want. But after you buy the product, you will never see them again. Then you will see somebody called customer service and then you are wondering is this a Indian or another antiational. I mean you have no clue at their behavior what's going on and say sir can you wait

37 sir there are others sir and then suddenly you realize you're not a customer but an enemy there [snorts] it's interesting how different teams are god is saying epignosis learn to discern >> you know we're dealing with church construction we're preparing things one of the conditions I put what one company is tell your employees those who are dealing with our project I want a signature from them that they will not leave your company as long as our project is not complete. They said why? I said because if they leave your company a new fellow will come I have to sit and explain the whole thing to that fellow. He won't know what we are doing. You will hire and fire when you want but we get affected and therefore whoever is dealing with our project till our project is complete they cannot leave your company because you guys are dealing epigos pastor I'm from your church I'm working in this company you also sign because see epicnosis experiential discernment you

44 go through life you learn that everything that glitters may be gold but of different variety. Everything white may be milk but of different grades and measures. And therefore love must grow in knowledge. >> I want to ask you a question. If you knew the scripture and had applied it well, how many of you don't raise your hands, how many of you feel life would have been much easier and because the scripture was not well understood, well, not well practice, many of the problems we face today is because of that. It's not that we intended bad, we intended good, but we did not take time to understand love in knowledge. God is saying take time to understand love in knowledge. Hallelujah. It is so important. Love must grow without limits, but it should mature through deep experience. And choose truth over comfort. When you are in love, when you have made a choice to

46 love. Choose truth over comfort. Some things are uncomfortable. But just because you love doesn't mean you don't want the truth. You must have truth. Wise decisions and true friendships is built over honesty being prioritized. It is not built over easy agreements. Hey, we are friends. Why do you want to sign a document? You take what you want. I'll take what I want and we'll see at the end. We are together. Mm. [clears throat] Write it down. Sign it together. If you're a really good believer, pray over it. But sign it. Amen. I'm a believer. You are a believer. We won't cheat other. Then why don't you just sign it anyway? You have no plan to cheat. Why don't you just documentize it? So many Christians are in trouble because they trusted God and in the name of trusting God, they trusted a cheat. Or they trusted someone who they thought won't cheat and when times changed, you know, it had to become like that. But if

49 there was a document in place, things would have been better. God is saying, "Let love have knowledge. Bethle as your shepherd, as your pastor, walk in knowledge while you walk in love is what the Bible says. >> It's very important. Walk in love and walk in knowledge. Continue to love people. You should not now in the name of knowledge don't become superfluous. Don't become proud. Be humble. Love people but with knowledge. >> Amen. Hallelujah. This is this is critical in Christian life. You know, have you heard love is blind? I mean, who hasn't heard that? But in the Bible, love has very good sight. So, this love is blind is not from the Bible. In fact, there are places where Bible is saying, I pray your eyes will open in the love of God. Infatuation is love with an imagined

53 ideal. When somebody just likes somebody else, no, they can't see their faults at all. That's called infatuation. That's a form of love. They can't see their mistakes. When two people are in love, they can't see each other's wrong. They'll see it only after marriage. When reality hits and eyes open. Somebody once joked, "No, love is blind but marriage opens the eye." The [snorts] the truth is we must follow the scripture and the scripture tells us that you must not allow infatuation to make your choices. Why? Because then you misrepresent red flags, things that you should have understood. You begin to equate it based on what you like. No, godly love is not blind. Let's say that together. Godly love is not blind. >> Amen. [clears throat] >> It sees the truth and continues to love with wisdom. >> Amen. It sees the truth and continues to

56 love with wisdom. It does not misrepresent truths into falsehood just for convenience. That is not the love of the Bible. Let's look at 1 Corinthians. No, before I get there, before get there, there is the importance of purity and love. Purity means undiluted. The Bible word purity means nothing added to it which weakens or corrupt what it's meant to be. That's called purity. Purity is adding anything to it which makes it corrupt or dilutes it from its original purpose. Many of our lives sometimes become impure. Go back to the word of God. Go back to the blood of Jesus to be cleansed again and come back into who you are really called to be. You are called to be pure in in the hands of God Almighty. Love does not spoil purity. Love helps purity. But love becomes a problem for purity. When love becomes without knowledge. That's when it becomes a problem. a a a

02 undiluted love and undiluted life is not a smaller life. Actually a pure life is a victorious life. Hallelujah. >> Hallelujah. >> Blameless means giving no chance including yourself. Giving no chance even for yourself to be in a place to stumble to be in a place where you can be tempted. Now let's go to Corinthians 1 Corinthians chapter 4 verse 4-6. Love is this doesn't mean love is sick. Love is patient means I'll explain. Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not >> envy. It does not >> It is not >> It does not >> It does not >> It is not >> It keeps >> a love does not >> but rejoices. These are all explanations of the love that God wants us to have with each other and for things in our life.

06 [snorts] Amen. >> Amen. >> It is so very important. The other day um somebody was telling me pastor we found a property we are going to buy it. So I told them good do one thing take it to an advocate let them go through the papers. No no no no we know these people they are wonderful believers. I said take them along to the advocate you know now that they are believers it's easy process is easy so they went together to the advocate and and they were unhappy with me because I made such a suggestion and both the parties the buyer and the seller were shocked that somebody else has already sold this property to somebody else now that's called Bangalore you know Bangalore has got multiple owners as in different properties so they were so upset They came back to me and I said why don't you buy it? They said no pastor somebody else has already brought it. Now in that family there was one man who was in love with a lady who is already married.

09 So I called that man separately. I said I want to meet you alone. He said okay. So he came to meet me and he said pastor is about the property. I said yes it's about the property. You are not buying it. Why? Because it belongs to another man. Correct. He said yes. I said, "Same thing about that lady. She belongs to another man." Oh, I didn't see it that way. It's And I told him, I said, "You know, the property you won't buy because it belongs to another man." You know why? Because you'll have to invest money. The lady, you don't mind. Why? Because you invest nothing. I have a feeling I'm helping a lot of people today. Love is patient but love's not stupid. Love remains calm with difficult people. It has a long fuse. In other words, it doesn't get angered easily. It's not it's tested by provocation but it remains calm. I took one small fellow you know for

13 meals food and fellows spit in the food. I mean, look at you. You all are getting angry. But I took the person again because it was my 2 and a half yearear-old son. Love is patient. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love actively seeks others good. If [snorts] patience is love in waiting, kindness is love in action. We are seeking others good. The Bible is saying in 1 Corinthians chapter 13:4 onwards, love rejects comparison. Let's say that together. Love rejects. >> Love is not envious. It It's not boastful. It's not proud. The entire Facebook, Instagram, social media, much of it gets knocked out here. Love is not built on comparison. Love is

16 not envious. Love does not resent others. That's why parents are so full of joy when their children do better than what they did. Parents feel at this age we couldn't do so much. Our children have done better. They don't feel envious. They feel so proud. Why? Love. Love is not envious. Love is not envious. Love doesn't resent others gifts. It doesn't boast and parade itself above others. Pride is basically the unwillingness to learn. Where you are proud, there you will not learn. Pride is the unwillingness to serve. In areas where you are proud, you will not serve others. You will not There are people who are humble in one part of their life and proud in another part of their life. How do you know which part of your life you're not uh in which part of your life you are proud? Well, the area where you're not willing to serve, the area where you're not willing to learn is the area where you're proud in life.

21 Pride, it does not compete or measure itself against others. But the Bible says love protects. Love does not dishonor. Love does not put others to shame. Does not insult others. Hey, you look so nice, my husband. Lady, get up and start loving with wisdom. Love vice versa. Love never puts others to shame. Love never exposes anybody. Oh my son, he's a fool. You know I love him so much. You are a fool, brother. You love your kids, then you don't expose their weakness in front of others. Now, this doesn't apply when you go for help. Now, that's a different thing. But love covers. Let's say that together. Love. >> That that video that says I love God and I love people and I love ministry so I am exposing this ministry. I don't know if it's love because Bible says love does not expose others.

23 Love does not degrade another person's dignity or purity. It does not. Love is not self-seeking. Love does not is not self-centered. Narcissism is not a part of love. It refuses to exploit others for personal pleasure or gain. So what if she if she gets colding in her house? Let me hang out a little more with her. It's not from a heart of love. Love is not easily angered. Somebody getting angry now with my preaching. Love is not easily angered. Bible says, "Bro, you got to love me." I'm telling you the truth. Look at somebody beside you and say, "He's giving you valuable lessons." Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Those of you who have no love and didn't do it, may God forgive you. But I'm giving you valuable lessons from the Holy Bible this morning. We have not come here for a uh feeling good. We have come here for getting better, walking in

26 victory, walking in the love of God. Hallelujah. Amen. Love is not easily angered, you know. Uh it it keeps its composture. It avoids forcing your will on others. If you have to walk on eggshells and carefully because that person might get angry but they really love me, you're walking in a nation called imagination. You're not walking in reality because true love is not easily angered. Hallelujah. There is this whole Asian culture problem. Actually, it's a worldwide problem. There are these people who think that because I love, I get angry. I don't get angry at others because I don't care. But with you, I get angry because I love you. Hey, that's not correct. That's not the right way of expressing love. 1 Corinthians chapter 13 is the way of expressing love. Now, don't go show this chapter and make them more angry. There is a way of handling it.

30 There's a way of handling it. Don't go needle them, make them angry, and then say, "See, they're getting angry." No, that's >> that is criminal. Of course, Jesus can forgive that. But don't do such things. The other day, one lady told me, "Pastor, he pushed me." And I asked why. She said, [snorts] "I'm scared now." I said, "Okay, why did he push you? He's trying to talk." I told him, "You don't talk. You keep quiet." "Why did he push you?" "I don't know. Maybe to kill me." I said, "Mhm." Mhm. I said, "Okay, I mean, this is bad. I think we'll need the police to help us, but but actually, why did he push you?" Like, like you woke up and he just came and pushed you. You came back from work, he pushed you. Then she said, "No, I was just saying something and he pushed me." So I said, "Was that like one word or like a paragraph?" Finally the truth came out from one month nonstop it is going on. He got fed

35 up and pushed from one month. [laughter] So I want to add to the scripture, true love is not easily angered and does not make others angry. Verse number six. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in with the truth. That's true love. True love. True love does not celebrate po popular or convenient news which is wrongful. How did you pass my love? I cheated. No problem. You passed. That's not love. That's stupidity. Love does not rejoice in wrong things. >> Love may forgive wrong things, but love doesn't celebrate wrong things. >> Celebration of wrong is not love according to the Bible. >> Hallelujah. >> Hallelujah. >> Hallelujah.

36 >> Love does not celebrate wrong things. That is not genuine love of the Bible. Love rejoices in truth. Truth and love are not enemies. They are friends. They build lifelong partnerships. They build success. Walk in truth because God is truth and God is love. He is both. Hallelujah. Go ahead, give God a big hand. I I tell you this month lessons on love are going to really change many of us and we are going to become more successful. >> We're going to become more victorious in the name of Jesus. We're going to walk and grow in knowledge and in wisdom and we're going to practice the love of God and then God is going to bless us. >> Hallelujah. >> Hallelujah. >> God cannot bless love of foolishness. God blesses love in wisdom. Amen. >> Sometimes we walk in love of foolishness and then we say, "God, why you not

39 blessing me?" God cannot bless foolishness. God blesses wisdom. There is a difference between God's love and human love. God's love is holy. It's unchanging. It's perfect. It's truthful. It's sacrificial. And God's love is unmoved by moods or our performance. Whether we are good or bad, God's love is consistent. Human love is imperfect and it's mixed. It's real, but it can harbor needy or selfish motives and it can become restrictive and a crutch in our lives. Sometimes um love can make people depend on others and that's not great. Love must be liberating. Love should not become controlling. Love must be liberating. And I'll come to boundaries of love. But God's love is self-giving. It focuses on a person's true spiritual good, not just their comfort. But human love,

43 it needs guidance. Human love needs guidance. It must choose commitment over feelings and submit to Christ's truth so that we can remain safe and healthy. Human love needs boundaries. Look at Ephesians 4 verse number 15. Instead speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head that is. In other words, unless you grow in love, you cannot become Christlike. I'm going to pray 3 hours every day so that I'll become more like Jesus, which is good. I'll pray 5 hours. Very good. After prayer, can you walk in love? Because if you can't, you're not becoming like Jesus. You're becoming like an old broken tape recorder card. Reine play rewind play. No. God wants you to walk in love. Hallelujah. Love the Lord thy God and love the people around you. It is important to become Christlike. We have

45 to walk. Let's read that one more time. Ephesians 4:15. Instead, speaking the Hold on. If you really love them, speak the truth. Pastor, my husband is stupid. Can I tell him that? No, you can't. You'll have to help him become wise. Pastor, my wife looks ugly. Can I tell her that? No, you can't. You'll have to You'll have to help her out. You know, bless her with some money for the boutique, but there truth is not an excuse to be harsh and blunt. Truth should come with grace. >> Amen. >> In love, truth should be told with grace. >> Amen. >> Amen. I mean they call me to preach in conventions and I tell them without Christ you don't have eternal life. You're going to hell. But you can say that with love and they they receive Christ. You can tell the truth. You can tell the truth in a loving way, in a gracious way, in a way that doesn't provoke them. It is so important. Wise love sets limits because God

48 himself has set limits and boundaries for disciples. Forgive the offense immediately but give time for emotional healing. And this is important. Forgiveness is like surgery. You remove the wrong. You you forgive. You give up your rights for justice. But take time allow emotional healing. That's called post-operative care. You had surgery when yesterday come to work today. No fool will say that except a boss. Now most of the times most of the times the doctor will tell you 7 days 21 days you need to take rest by post-operative care. It's the same with forgiveness. When you forgive people you sometimes have to wait until you're emotionally healed. You've treated the wrong. You've forgiven them. So it's taken out of you. But allow time to be emotionally healed. And this is very important. Why? Because forgiveness does not mean allowing people to hurt you again and again and then you are not

52 able to love at all. But I call them loving distance. Say that together. >> Earlier we used to have social distance. Now I call it loving distance. Some people you can love only when you keep a distance. Please keep them at that distance so that you can love them. If they come closer it is hard. So don't bring them closer. Amen. But I like them. Liking is different. Loving is choice. Liking is a chance. Control your thing. I'll come to that maybe in the coming weeks. You're going to enjoy this. Man, this is fun. I'm enjoying studying it. Loving I can I bring physics into this? Love is a motion. Love is emotion. Actually, liking is emotion. Love is emotion. But it's better to make love a velocity. Give it direction. Because emotional likings are scattered all over the place. It's powered by temporary feelings, chemistry, self-interest. You know, I feel nice. You heard those things. That's because

56 you didn't say it to anybody. But it's happening inside you. You become very clever. You don't reveal your true feelings, but it's happening inside. That's called emotion. Love is liking and love are nothing but uh the change in the condition of the heart. But give it a direction. Make it purpose-driven. Let it be guided by commitment, truth, intentional choice, etc. That's when you begin to realize whether they are also willing for that journey. And then you realize it's going to happen or not. Love as emotion is without direction, is unstable. It shifts towards whatever attracts it. It starts and stops quickly. But love has a velocity which is what the Bible is saying. When you give it a direction, it is steady and it's centered around values. It has clear direction and stays consistent even when feelings change. Amen. >> This whole culture of you know I am getting angry because I love them and I cannot allow this. No, anger is not a

00 valid expression of love. Anger is a response to irritation, not a response to love. Anger is not a response to love. Anger is not a valid expression of love. Let's say that together. Anger is not >> whether as a parent, as a spouse, as a friend, anger is not the right expression of love. >> Amen. >> Anger is the expression of a irritation. Anger is the expression of something wrong. Anger is the expression towards something that is difficult. Anger is not the correct version of expression of love. Amen. And fear is not a value you want to cultivate. Respect is what you want to cultivate. Not fear. Fear is wrong way to cultivate things. Cultivate respect. You don't control things through fear. You control things through respect. And respect is hard to gain. It's not easy between men and women.

04 Please form healthy relationships, respectful friendships without suspicion. Aim for warm friendships guarded by clear boundaries. You do not want to talk to the others in fear. You want to talk to them in love with proper boundaries. A church that does not cultivate [clears throat] love with one another is cultivating fear and suspicion of each other. And that's not what we want. We want to grow in love with one another with clear boundaries of holiness and purity. Amen. Choose marriage wisely. After marriage, choose that person every day. Same person. Every day. Do not marry merely because of family pressure or shared faith. It takes more than that. Once you are married, protect your marriage by giving deeper emotional investment in the house.

07 You're married, but you have time to listen to your female colleagues problems. And when your wife starts talking, I'm getting a headache. Brother, you got a demonic operation. You need deliverance in the name of Jesus. At least the ladies sudden. Amen. And the same vice versa, sister, for you also. Same thing. Whenever your husband comes nearby, feel sleepy, tired. Huh? But when that man calls, hey, how are you? Sister, you got a demonic problem. This is not from God. This is not from Holy Spirit. Mhm. Husbands, lead your wife [clears throat] through gentleness and your family through gentleness, not through rudeness. giving care, sacrificial care for your family. Wives, honor your husband more than respecting your boss. Respect your husband. And the men said, >> "Too slow, too late. No wonder she can't

11 respect you, brother." Like Jesus cried over Jerusalem, I wish you knew your time. Wives, respect your husband, though he didn't say amen on time. Be kind to him and respectful while you're honest in your communication. Be honest in your communication. The scripture commands husbands, love your wives and commands the wives, honor your husbands. Why does the Bible express that as an obligation? When you study the root Greek there, it's expressed an obligation saying, put it into action. Respect your husband. Put it into action. Love your wife. put it into action. The Bible is talking as a verb. Respect and love, there are verbs. You know why? Because sometimes you don't feel like doing the action, but the action is something that must happen. And feelings will follow the action. >> Amen. >> And therefore, the action must happen. Oh, I don't feel love. Why should I do the action? Do the action. Let the

13 feelings come. >> Do it sincerely. [applause] This is for married people. Before [snorts] marriage, maintain purity. Maintain purity. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-6. Let's read together. It is God's will that you should be sanctified that you should avoid what I'm preaching. No, go back verse three. There's lot to say there. Everything against today's movies, today's rock music, everything against today's culture is written in one verse there. Read it again loud and clear. It is God's will that you should be sanctified, that you should avoid sexual immorality. >> Uh-huh. But I'm speaking in tongues. You need to avoid sexual immorality. Anointing is not an excuse to avoid the scripture. >> Next verse that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and >> honorable.

16 Control your body. control your friend's body. Next, not in passionate lust. Okay. All of you who don't control your own body and your friend's body, you are like what before God. Like pagans who do not know God. And what is and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage. Huh? Don't send WhatsApp message and show love and likeness when you have no intention to marry [clears throat] >> or you're already married and keeping it a secret. Don't take advantage of faith. The Lord will punish >> all those who commit such things >> because they are sin. >> Amen. >> What about the others? Only three. Amen. So far this is the spirit of Bangalore. Let it be broken in the name of Jesus. As we told you and warned you even

18 before, Bible doesn't have gray areas. It is clear between what is right and what is wrong. What is wrong is wrong. It doesn't matter where the majority goes. It matters where Christ goes. And you want to follow Jesus, not the majority. >> Hallelujah. >> Purity is a learned behavior. Attraction is normal. Govern your feelings. Don't feed your uncommitted feelings. Seek clarity. Be honest about your intentions before becoming emotionally or physically intimate. Maintain boundaries. Keep affection appropriate in behavior and avoid habits that blur boundaries. Avoid sending mixed signals. Hello. Avoid sending mixed signals. Sister, when you are there, I feel

24 something special. Bro, what is your plan? Make it clear. Sister is already okay. What is your plan? You want to marry her? No. Then shut up and walk. You should feel special when Jesus is there. >> Hallelujah. >> And you, sister, don't say thank you, brother. Thank you. Calm down. That's not anointing. That is emotion. Boundaries protect genuine love. And [snorts] you cannot replace faith with careless foolishness. But I have strong feelings, pastor. Strong feelings need not be God's will. Strong feelings are just feelings. Strong feelings happen to everybody. The Lord Jesus had strong feelings in the garden of Gethsemane to avoid the cross. But he said, "Not my will. Let your will

29 be done. Strong feelings need not be from God. Feelings are dispositions of the heart. Amen. >> Amen. >> Hallelujah. >> My my best story was Samaritan story. Next Sunday I'll deal with it if I get time. It's about you didn't know 40 minutes is over. We're going to pray. [sighs] Hallelujah. Some of you are sitting here saying this person should have heard it first. You should have heard it. Then the other person, that other person, you bring them next Sunday. >> Keep them near you so you can keep pinching them at the right time. The story of the good Samaritan is a story of love, of how God's love reaches us even when we are imperfect. Let's close our eyes and say Lord thank you for the teaching of your word. When your holy anointing comes on us, help us Lord that we will

32 grow in epicnosis. We will grow in experiential wisdom. We'll grow in true love. We will grow in knowledge so that our love will never be wasted. Hallelujah. Help us to differentiate between what we like and what we should love. Help us Lord not to be enamored by the temptations of the world but to be constructive in our walk with you that we will be holy in your sight. Hallelujah. Thank you Lord. Wherever we are seated or standing shall we all take a minute to say Lord cleanse me from things that are impure. [snorts] Cleanse me from things that are unholy. Cleanse me from feelings that are not right before you. It could be feelings of anger. It could be feelings of hatred. It could be feelings that are not right before God. Ask the Lord to cleanse you. It could be feelings of sexual perversions. Ask the Lord for cleansing. It could be emotional intimacy which is

36 sinful in a wrong way with the wrong people. Ask the Lord to cleanse you today. Hallelujah. and say, "God, I want to learn to walk in true love and to love everybody in a proper manner, to love everybody in the way you desire [music] that our love will not be suspicious, but it will be respectful. It will be honorable." Hallelujah. Heavenly Father, today as your servant, I pronounce your blessing upon your people. All of us, I pray, will not just be listeners of your word, but we will become practitioners of your word. We will practice your word. We will learn to obey and enjoy the beauty and the benefits of walking in true love. Help us, Lord, to be honorable. Help us, Father, to communicate effectively because you've called each of us to walk in victory. Thank you for emotional healings happening here. Thank you, Lord, for deliverance happening [music] in Jesus mighty name we pray. And the people
