Christ Jesus, our Savior

1 Timothy 1:15 NKJV

“This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.”

According to Romans 3:10 (AMP), “There is none righteous [none that meets God’s standard], not even one.” And Romans 6:23 tells us, “The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” How then do we receive eternal life, and be saved from spiritual death? We believe that Jesus came into this world to die an excruciating death, just so we can be saved from eternal punishment.

Confess that Jesus rose from the grave and is alive today – seated at the right hand of the Father! Repent of your sins and allow Him to be the Lord of your life. When you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). The reality is that this love story is not something we deserve. But in our Father’s eyes, we were worthy of this unimaginable sacrifice, while having a sinful nature and deserving of death (Romans 5:8).

What love is this that while we were His enemies, God sent His only begotten Son to die for us? While we were His enemies, Jesus was pierced for our transgression. Jesus took the stripes that tore his back to the bone, with a crown of thorns sunk into His head. While we were His enemies, Jesus hung on a cross to die, with His hands and feet nailed to it. We have been bought with an invaluable price. Yet, He gave us the free will to choose to follow Jesus. Won’t you respond to His call?
