1 Corinthians 15:10
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain.
As much as we are human beings, we are also grace beings. Everything we are today is because God fought the good fight on that cross and redeemed us to Himself. One cannot fathom this kind of love – a love that travels from heaven to earth and endures the pain and betrayal of humankind, simply so He could offer us the very grace with which He came.
We don’t have to earn our salvation or the love of God, for it is abundantly laid before us through Jesus Christ. Life would truly not be the same without Jesus and the power of His work on that cross. It’s a blessing that we’re aware of God’s unconditional grace and called to follow His path of salvation. We must always remain eternally grateful that salvation came to us while we were still sinners and unaware of our need for it.
If God cared for our needs to such an extent that, even without our asking, He became flesh, chose the path of suffering for us, purchased us into His kingdom, and granted us the spirit of adoption, would He not answer our prayers according to His sovereign will and shape us during our season of waiting?
God will surely and graciously bless you and your life, for you are a product of His grace and love. He may be shaping you through the process of waiting, but He will never tempt you to falter. Trust His character: He is a gracious, loving, and helpful God. We are who we are because of Him. All glory to Christ Jesus!
